TVS Apache RTR 160 4V: New Variant Launched at ₹1.40 Lakh

TVS Motor India has introduced a new top-end variant of the popular Apache RTR 160 4V motorcycle, priced at ₹1.40 lakh (ex-showroom). This variant marks the most premium offering in the Apache RTR 160 4V lineup, which now boasts a total of seven variants. Competing with models like the Hero Xtreme 160R, Honda Hornet 2.0, and Bajaj Pulsar N160, this new addition brings fresh upgrades to the table.

Key Updates: Stylish Design & New Features

Upside-Down Forks and Color Options

The new Apache RTR 160 4V comes with striking gold USD front forks, a bold stubby exhaust, and new alloy wheels in a red finish. It is available in three new color options: Granite Grey, Matte Black, and Pearl White.

Updated Instrument Console

The bike retains its muscular fuel tank, split grab rails, and adjustable brake and clutch levers. It features a Bluetooth-enabled instrument console with TVS SmartConnect, offering turn-by-turn navigation, call/SMS alerts, and race telemetry.

Performance: 114 km/h Top Speed in Sport Mode

There are no mechanical changes, as the bike continues with a 159.7cc single-cylinder, 4-valve, air/oil-cooled engine paired with a 5-speed gearbox. Riders can switch between three riding modes: Urban, Rain, and Sport, with varying power and torque outputs:

  • Urban/Rain Modes: 15.64 PS, 14.14 Nm, 103 km/h top speed
  • Sport Mode: 17.55 PS, 14.73 Nm, 114 km/h top speed

The bike also features Race-Tuned Fuel Injection and Glide Through Technology (GTT) for smooth low-speed riding.

Suspension and Braking: Improved Stability

For enhanced comfort and performance, the new variant is equipped with USD forks at the front and an adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking is handled by a 240mm rear disc brake, ensuring reliable stopping power.
