Trump’s Interview: US Election Business Deal? India & Pakistan Have Nuclear Power
Former U.S. President Donald Trump gave an interview to Elon Musk, the owner of social media site X (formerly Twitter). Musk spoke with Trump for two hours in an audio format. Initially, Musk inquired about the attack on Trump in Pennsylvania. Trump humorously noted that the experience was very unpleasant, but it led him to have more faith in God.
Trump’s Allegations Against Biden and Harris
In the interview, Trump made several accusations against Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. He claimed that their policies have led to the highest inflation in the country in 100 years. He also stated that criminals from other countries are entering the U.S.
Trump’s Views on Putin and Kim Jong Un
Regarding accusations of being soft on Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, Trump said that he knows both leaders well. He described them as very shrewd and ruthless. He had advised Putin not to attack Ukraine and promised that he wouldn’t.

- Tesla, Musk’s company, received much praise. Trump said that if he is elected president again, he will definitely do something significant with Tesla.
- The greatest threat is not global warming but nuclear war.
- Five countries are said to have nuclear power, but in reality, nine countries have it: the U.S., Britain, France, Russia, China, as well as India, Pakistan, Israel, and North Korea.
- If he comes to power, he would shut down the Education Department and transfer education responsibilities to the states.
Trump on Immigration Issues
Regarding illegal immigrants, Musk stated that he believes most illegal immigrants are not bad. Trump agreed, saying it’s true that not all are bad. However, Trump has been critical of illegal immigrants during his campaign, claiming that countries are emptying their jails and sending bad people to America.
Twitter War with Kim Jong Un
Trump discussed his good relationship with Kim Jong Un and recalled his famous ‘Rocket Man’ tweet. Musk’s Accusation of Cyber Attack Before Interview
The interview, scheduled to start at 5:30 a.m. Indian time, was delayed by 45 minutes due to a technical glitch. Musk blamed cyber attackers for the delay, stating that the cyber attack on X’s servers indicated attempts to prevent people from hearing Trump’s statements. Over a million people tuned in to the interview.
Trump’s Activity on X Before the Interview
Before the interview, Donald Trump returned to X and made several posts. His Twitter account had been banned following the January 6, 2021, Capitol Hill violence and remained inactive. When Elon Musk bought Twitter in 2022, he lifted the ban, but Trump had not returned to the site. His new social media platform, Truth Social, did not gain as much popularity as his tweets. Trump’s return to X was expected to boost his presidential campaign.
Musk’s Support for Trump’s Presidential Candidacy
Last month, Musk supported Donald Trump’s candidacy for the 2024 presidential election. On July 14, during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, Trump was attacked, and Musk subsequently expressed support for Trump and wished him a speedy recovery.
Meta Also Lifted Ban
Earlier, Meta had also lifted the ban on Trump’s account. Meta stated that since Trump was a candidate in the U.S. presidential election, he should be given the same opportunity as other candidates to use their platform, including Facebook and Instagram. Trump’s account was previously banned in 2021 amid ongoing violence in the U.S.
Account Bans
Following the January 6, 2021, Capitol Hill violence, Trump’s social media accounts were banned.
