Tata Motors has released a new teaser for the Altroz Racer and opened bookings for the premium hatchback. Customers can book the car with a token amount of ₹21,000 through the official website and dealerships.
The Altroz Racer is a sporty version of the regular Altroz, first showcased at Auto Expo 2023 and later at the India Mobility Global Expo. According to media reports, the car is expected to launch in India on June 7.
Tata Altroz Racer: New Teaser and Detailed Features
Tata Motors has unveiled a new teaser for the Altroz Racer, highlighting its half-profile. The teaser showcases a new orange-black color scheme and an extended rear spoiler for a sporty feel. The alloy wheels retain their design but feature a black finish in the Racer version.
Ahead of its launch, several details have leaked, revealing that the Altroz Racer will come in three variants (R1, R2, R3) and three color options: Atomic Orange, Avenue White, and Pure Grey. The Racer will feature a more powerful engine, six airbags, and a 360-degree camera, making it sportier and safer compared to the regular Altroz.
Expected to launch on June 7, the Altroz Racer is poised to compete with the Hyundai i20 N-Line, with prices starting around ₹10 lakh (ex-showroom).
Tata Altroz Racer Design and Features
The Tata Altroz Racer boasts a sporty design with enhanced styling elements compared to the regular Altroz. It features a new grille, dual-tip exhaust, and dual white stripes from the hood to the roof. Available in dual-tone exterior color options, the car has black accents on the roof, bonnet, wing mirrors, window line, spoiler, and pillars. It also includes 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels with black inserts.
Interior and Technology
The Altroz Racer’s interior is equally sporty, with a black dashboard, contrasting stitching on seat upholstery, and ambient lighting. Key features include a 10.25-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital driver display, ventilated front seats, a head-up display, voice command sunroof, automatic climate control, and wireless phone charging.
Safety Features
Safety is a priority with six airbags, a 360-degree camera, cruise control, parking sensors, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), child ISOFIX anchor seats, electronic stability control (ESC), hill assist control, and seat belt reminders for all passengers.

Tata Altroz Racer: Performance
The Tata Altroz Racer is set to enhance performance with a 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine from the Nexon, offering an additional 10hp and 30Nm of torque compared to the standard Altroz’s 1.2-liter Revotron turbo-petrol engine that produces 110hp.
The Racer variant will feature a new 6-speed manual gearbox, with a potential option for a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This upgraded powertrain aims to deliver a more dynamic driving experience, emphasizing sportiness and performance.
