Introducing Škoda Elroq: Volkswagen’s EV-Based Electric SUV Set to Launch by December, Challenging Hyundai Creta EV

Czech car manufacturer Škoda Auto has released a teaser for its upcoming all-electric compact SUV. This vehicle will be the first production model showcasing Škoda’s new modern design language. 

It is the first of six electric vehicles the company plans to launch, with an expected release by the end of this year. The SUV is the third model built on Volkswagen Group’s MEB modular EV platform, following the Enyaq and Enyaq Coupe.

Škoda’s upcoming Allroc SUV will feature an all-LED lighting setup. The teaser reveals the front look of the vehicle, highlighting the Škoda badging and upper lighting elements. According to Škoda, the Allroc will sport a split headlamp design. 

The company has confirmed that the SUV will also come with large wheels and matrix LED headlamps, promising a modern and striking appearance.

Will the Škoda Allroc Come to India?

The world premiere of the Škoda Allroc is set for the end of this year. Alongside the Allroc, Škoda has also teased another compact electric SUV named the Epic, expected to be based on the MEB modular electric architecture. 

Positioned between the Epic and the Enyaq, the Allroc’s Indian launch remains unconfirmed. If launched, it will compete with models like the Hyundai Creta EV and Maruti Suzuki eVX. The Enyaq will be available in India as a completely built unit (CBU).

Škoda to Launch Six New Electric Cars by 2026

Škoda plans to introduce six new electric cars in the Indian market by 2026. During the ‘Let’s Explore’ event, the company unveiled silhouette images of these vehicles, including four pure electric models: a small 4.1-meter SUV, a compact SUV, a combi wagon, and a 4.9-meter-long MPV.

Additionally, updated versions of the Enyaq and Enyaq Coupe will be launched. The Enyaq iV will soon be available as a premium imported electric car, competing with models like the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6.
