Reliance Jio, TM Forum Launch Innovation Hub for AI and Big Language Models Development

Reliance Jio and TM Forum inaugurated the first innovation hub in Mumbai on Friday. The TM Forum Innovation Hub in Mumbai aims to accelerate the development of Generative AI (Gen AI), Large Language Models (LLM), and Open Digital Architecture. TM Forum is an organization comprising over 800 member companies.

Leading organizations were part of this initiative, including Accenture, Deutsche Telekom, Google Cloud, Orange, Telenor, and Vodafone, among others. Reliance Corporate IT Park in Mumbai will house this new hub, selected as a hub to create a central hub for global software development talent in India.

Innovation Hub to Bring Transformation in Our Industry

Akash Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited, stated, “TM Forum Innovation Hub is about providing real-world solutions to bring transformation in our industry. We are delighted to have the first innovation hub in our Mumbai campus, as Mumbai is an ideal place to encourage newness.”

In simple terms, Generative AI refers to algorithms that enable us to create new content, such as text, audio, video, code, and more. It is a form of Machine Learning (ML). Generative AI allows you to generate written text based on written prompts, and you can also create images and videos. This means it doesn’t have to be the same medium as the input. As for LLM, it is a type of deep learning. It will help experts tackle the challenges of AI language models.
