Important Update: Paytm Wallet Credit Ends February 29th – Ensure FASTag Balance for Continued Use

As per the RBI guidelines, you won’t be able to deposit money into your Paytm wallet after February 29th. In this situation, if you have a Paytm FASTag, you’ll need to replace it. Failure to do so may result in double toll charges. According to regulations, if payment is not made through FASTag, double toll charges may apply.

Alternatively, if you add any money to your Paytm wallet before February 29th, you can still spend it after February 29th. In India, millions of FASTag users may be affected by RBI’s directive. In this scenario, we are informing you about the process to deactivate Paytm FASTag and obtain a new one.

You can order a new FASTag online through PhonePe.

  1. Open PhonePe and click on “Buy FASTag” here.
  2. Enter your PAN, vehicle registration number, and mobile number, then click on “Continue”.
  3. Enter your vehicle registration number and model number, then click on “Continue”.
  4. Enter your delivery address and click on “Continue”.
  5. After this, you will be prompted to make the payment.

FASTag can also be obtained offline. Besides, you can get FASTag through banks or FASTag distributors. You can visit them, provide the necessary documents, and pay the specified fee to obtain FASTag.

Documents required for FASTag application:

  • Vehicle registration certificate
  • ID proof
  • Address proof
  • Passport, Voter ID card, Aadhaar card, Driving license, or PAN card can be used as ID and address proof.
