Okaya EV Disruptor Set to Launch in India Today: Electric Bike Promises 129 km Range on Full Charge, Rivaling Revolt RV
Today marks a significant day for electric vehicle manufacturing company Okaya EV as it unveils its new electric bike, the Disruptor, in India. Partnering with the luxury brand Ferrato, the company aims to redefine the standards of luxury in electric mobility. Okaya claims that the electric bike can cover 1 kilometer for just 25 paise and can achieve a range of 129 km on a full charge.
The company plans to retail the e-bike through premium dealerships, with plans to open over 100 showrooms across the country. Pre-booking for the anticipated bike has commenced, with the first 1000 customers receiving a token worth 500 rupees, redeemable on Ferrato’s official website for booking.
Following this, a booking fee of 2,500 rupees will be applicable. This launch signifies Okaya’s commitment to providing environmentally friendly transportation solutions while also embracing luxury and innovation in the electric vehicle market in India.
Enhanced Design and Features of Okaya’s Upcoming Electric Bike Disruptor
While further details about Okaya’s upcoming electric bike, the Disruptor, have yet to be disclosed, the company has teased its design and features. The silhouette of the bike has been revealed, showcasing a muscular tank design. In terms of suspension, the bike will feature conventional telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock unit at the rear.
Moreover, the Disruptor will come equipped with disc brakes with ABS on both wheels for enhanced braking performance. Additionally, the bike will feature tubeless tires, a split-seat setup, and eye-catching LED lights on both ends, adding to its allure.
The Disruptor: Promising Performance and Speed in the Realm of E-Bikes
Okaya’s upcoming electric bike, the Disruptor, is poised to deliver high-speed performance, boasting a sprint capability of 95 kilometers per hour. For its powertrain, the Disruptor will be equipped with a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM), capable of generating a peak power of 6.37 kW and a maximum torque of 228 Nm.
The company claims that the Disruptor can reach a top speed of 95 kmph, ensuring thrilling rides for enthusiasts.
To power the electric motor, the Disruptor will feature a 3.97 kWh battery pack utilizing LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) technology. This advanced battery pack not only ensures sufficient power delivery but also provides flexibility with riding modes.
With these features, the Disruptor is expected to redefine the standards of performance in the e-bike segment. However, this level of performance comes with a price tag starting at 1.5 lakh rupees (ex-showroom) or more, reflecting its advanced technology and capabilities.
