New Generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire to Launch on November 11: Features Include CNG, Sunroof, 6 Airbags, and 33.73 km/kg Mileage

Maruti Suzuki has unveiled the latest generation of its best-selling sedan, the Dzire, with plans to launch the car on November 11. The fourth-generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire is based on the platform of the Maruti Swift hatchback but features a completely unique design. This model comes with a sunroof, six airbags as standard, and several segment-first features.

The sedan will be launched in only five variants – LXI, VXI, VXI(O), ZXI, and ZXI+. The ex-showroom price for the updated model is expected to start at ₹6.99 lakh, while the current Dzire is priced from ₹6.57 lakh (ex-showroom). In the sedan segment, it will compete with models like the Honda Amaze, Hyundai Aura, and Tata Tigor. The company claims that the CNG version of the car will offer a mileage of 33.73 km/kg.

The new-generation Dzire features a fresh dashboard layout in a black-and-white dual-tone theme, inspired by the Swift facelift, Ford Figo, Baleno, and Brezza. It includes a 9.0-inch floating infotainment system, sleek AC vents, and HVAC controls.

Additionally, the car offers wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, connected car technology with over 40 connected features, a wireless charger, a 4.2-inch semi-digital cluster MID, steering wheel-mounted controls, automatic climate control, push-button start, a rear parking camera with sensors, and more.

Performance: New Z-Series Petrol Engine Available

The biggest change in this popular sedan is in its powertrain. Replacing the K12 four-cylinder petrol engine in the current model, the new Dzire will now feature the Z-series 1.2-liter three-cylinder petrol engine, the same engine introduced in the new Swift. This engine generates 82 hp of power and 112 Nm of torque.

In comparison, the current model produces 90 hp and 113 Nm, making the new version 8 hp and 1 Nm lower. For transmission, the new Swift will offer options for a 5-speed manual and an automatic (AMT) gearbox paired with the engine.
