Mahindra Teases Upcoming Electric SUVs XEV 9e and BE 6e
Mahindra has unveiled a new teaser for its upcoming electric SUVs, the XEV 9e and BE 6e, showcasing their exterior designs. These models, set to debut on November 26, are built on Mahindra’s INGLO platform and represent the company’s foray into luxury and bold electric mobility.
Exterior Design: Luxury Meets Athletic Performance
Both SUVs boast a coupe-like roofline and bold character lines, designed for high performance on the INGLO platform. The XEV 9e exudes luxury, while the BE 6e promises a bold and athletic look with a front light system inspired by the XUV 3XO and distinct connected LED DRLs and taillights.
Interior: Cutting-Edge Features
The XEV 9e features a triple-screen setup, including a digital driver display, touchscreen, and passenger display, while the BE 6e offers dual integrated screens. Both SUVs come with a two-spoke steering wheel, illuminated logo, and panoramic sunroof, ensuring a premium cabin experience.
Performance: Extended Range and Versatile Driving Options
While Mahindra has yet to reveal specific battery details, the XEV 9e is rumored to offer 60kWh and 80kWh battery packs with a range of up to 500 km. The BE 6e might include a 60kWh battery with a range of approximately 450 km. Both models are expected to offer RWD and AWD options.
Features and Safety: Advanced Tech for Comfort and Security
Both SUVs come loaded with advanced features, including multi-zone AC, wireless phone charging, premium audio systems, ventilated and powered seats, and regeneration modes. For safety, they are expected to include six airbags, a 360-degree camera, and Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
Price and Competition
With an expected starting price of ₹24 lakh (ex-showroom), the XEV 9e will compete with the Tata Harrier EV and Safari EV, while the BE 6e will rival the Tata Curve EV, MG ZS EV, Maruti e-Vitara, and Hyundai Creta EV.
Mahindra’s XEV 9e and BE 6e promise to redefine electric mobility with luxury, innovation, and performance at the forefront.
