Kia EV9 Electric SUV Launching Today: 7-Seater Car to Offer 541 km Range on Full Charge with Level-2 ADAS Safety Features
Kia Motors India is set to launch its new electric SUV today (September 3). The company has already introduced the 7-seater car in the global market, and it will now be unveiled in India as well. The company claims that this car will offer a range of over 541 km on a single full charge.
This vehicle will be equipped with high-level features such as the Highway Driving Pilot (HDP) system. Additionally, for safety, the car will include 9 airbags, a 360-degree camera, and Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). The price of the electric SUV is expected to be around ₹80 lakh (ex-showroom).
Features of Kia’s New Electric SUV
The new electric SUV will come equipped with 21-inch alloy wheels. After its launch, this vehicle will be the first three-row electric SUV in India. According to media reports, the South Korean company may offer the EV9’s GT-Line top variant with an all-wheel-drive (AWD) option in India.
Additionally, customers will have the flexibility to purchase the car with nearly every available option. The rear will feature distinct bumpers, 21-inch wheels, and GT-Line badging.
Advanced Features of the Kia Electric SUV
Discussing the features, all seats in the car will be electrically adjustable, equipped with ventilated seats that include a lounge function, and there will be multi-zone climate control for the second row.
Additionally, the latest car will feature a 360-degree camera, Level-2 ADAS, auto parking, connected car technology, power boot opening, and all-LED lighting.
Range and Performance of the Kia Electric SUV
The electric SUV is expected to offer a range of approximately 450 kilometers. The EV9 is available in the global market with a dual-motor and a 99.9 kWh battery pack, providing a range of 445 kilometers, while other variants can deliver up to 541 kilometers.
This electric vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.3 seconds, with a top speed of 200 km/h. The battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes using a 350 kW charger.
