Kia Carnival Limousine 4th Gen Revealed in India: Luxury MPV with Power Sliding Door
Kia India announced the launch of its fourth-generation Carnival Limousine, the most luxurious MPV in its lineup, on September 16. The Korean automaker will officially launch this premium-featured vehicle in India on October 3.
Booking and Availability
Kia has started bookings for the MPV today. Customers can book the vehicle either online through the official website or offline at Kia dealerships by paying a token amount of ₹2 lakh. The second-generation model of the Carnival is currently available for sale in India.
Price Range
The starting price of the 2024 Kia Carnival is expected to be between ₹40 lakh and ₹50 lakh (ex-showroom). It can be considered a more premium option compared to the Toyota Innova Hycross (₹19.77 lakh – ₹30.98 lakh) and is more affordable than the Toyota Vellfire (₹1.22 crore – ₹1.32 crore) and the Lexus LM, making it a competitive luxury MPV.
Exterior Design
The global model of the Kia Carnival was updated in 2023, but it was not launched in India. The fourth-generation model features Kia’s latest design language. It includes chrome embellishments, vertically positioned 4-piece headlights, and prominent connected L-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs). Overall, the design of the upcoming Carnival resembles the Kia EV9.
On the sides, the model features a touch-powered sliding door, similar to the second-generation model, and flush-type door handles. The luxury vehicle will come with 18-inch alloy wheels and connected LED taillights. Additionally, a large electric dual sunroof will be available on top.
Interior Features
The 12.3-inch dual digital display in the cabin of the Kia Carnival will be similar to its global model. It features a three-row layout with captain seats in the second row and bench-type seats in the third row. The second-row seats will have ventilation, heating, and leg extension support, along with sliding and reclining capabilities. The interior color options will include Navy Blue, Tan, and Brown.
The new generation luxury car’s dashboard will include a touch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 12.3-inch digital driver display. It will also feature a head-up display. For comfort, the car will offer an electrically adjustable driver seat with lumbar support and an 8-way adjustable passenger seat.
The base Limousine variant will come with a Dark Blue/Beige cabin, while the top-end Limousine Plus variant will feature a premium Tan/Black color scheme. Additionally, the vehicle will include a 12-speaker Bose premium sound system, 3-zone automatic climate control, a powered tailgate, and ambient lighting for a premium feel.
Performance
For performance, the 2024 Kia Carnival Limousine will be equipped with a 2.2-liter diesel engine that generates 193hp power and 441Nm peak torque. The engine will be paired with an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The vehicle will come with a front-wheel-drive option.
