Jeep, the American car manufacturer, has once again launched the Night Eagle Edition of its highly popular SUV, the Compass, in India. The company has priced it at an initial cost of ₹25.04 lakh (ex-showroom). Jeep will sell the limited edition exclusively through its network of dealerships across the country. Interested buyers can book their vehicle through the company’s official website or by visiting nearby dealerships.
The 2024 Compass Night Eagle Edition doesn’t just come with some cosmetic updates but also introduces several new features. It boasts a mileage of 17.1 kmpl and includes advanced safety features like ADAAS (Advanced Driver Assistance and Active Safety).
The Compass Night Eagle Edition was initially launched in 2020 and was reintroduced by the company in 2022. In India, it will compete with other SUVs like the Tata Harrier Dark Edition, MG Hector Blackstorm, Hyundai Tucson, Volkswagen Taigun, Citroen C5 Aircross, and Mahindra XUV700.

The SUV’s Night Eagle Edition is based on the (O) variant of the Compass and embodies the company’s signature style. It features a blacked-out grille, Daylight Opening (DLO), fog lamps, and roof rails with a glossy black finish.
Jeep has added black branding on its side fenders and 18-inch black alloy wheels. The Night Eagle Edition is available in three exterior colors: black, white, and red.

The 2024 Jeep Compass Night Eagle Edition offers an all-black cabin theme with black inserts on the doors and seat upholstery. It comes equipped with a 10.1-inch Next Generation U-Connect 5 digital infotainment system on the dashboard, offering lightning-fast operating speed and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
Moreover, the car features a 10.25-inch frameless full-color digital TFT gauge cluster, rear entertainment screen, air purifier, blue ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, cruise control, push-button start/stop, automatic climate control, and wireless charging pad.

The Jeep Compass Night Eagle Edition is equipped with a 2.0-liter direct injection turbocharged inline four-cylinder diesel engine, generating 170hp of power and 350Nm of torque. For transmission, the engine is tuned with both a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 9-speed automatic gearbox.
Jeep India claims that the Compass is the first car in its segment to feature a 9-speed automatic transmission and achieves the highest mileage of 17.1 kmpl. Engine stop-start technology is provided in all trims of the vehicle. The company boasts that the Jeep Compass 4X2 achieves a 0-100 km/h speed in just 9.8 seconds, showcasing its impressive acceleration capabilities.

For passengers’ safety, the car is equipped with dual front airbags, 4-channel electronic stability control (ESC), electronic parking brake, and a reverse camera. Safety features such as traction control system, rear seat belt reminder alert, and rain brake assist are standard across all trims.
