Hyundai to Introduce New Crossover SUV
Reports indicate that South Korean automaker Hyundai is preparing to launch a new crossover SUV. The company may introduce an SUV named Hyundai Bayon in this segment, competing directly with SUVs like Maruti Fronx and Toyota Taisor.
What Features Will It Offer?
Hyundai will offer this SUV with numerous features available globally, now brought to India. The SUV could include wireless charger, multiple USB ports, driving modes, front ventilated seats, 360-degree camera, Bose premium sound system, 10.25-inch infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, BlueLink connected car service, LED lights, and dual-tone exterior, among many others. For safety, it might feature ADAS, six airbags, ABS, EBD, hill assist, and parking assist.
How Powerful Will the Engine Be?
The SUV could be equipped with a 1-liter turbo-GDI three-cylinder engine, capable of delivering 100 horsepower and 171 Newton meters of torque. It might offer a choice between 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT transmissions.
Launch and Pricing
Currently, the company has not provided any concrete information regarding the launch of this SUV. However, it is expected to be launched by the end of 2025 or 2026. At the time of launch, the ex-showroom price of this SUV could range between 8 to 15 lakh rupees, based on the pricing of Hyundai Bayon.
