Audi Q8 Facelift Teaser Released: Car Will Come with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems and Safety Features, Launching on August 22
Audi India is preparing to launch the facelifted version of its upcoming SUV, the Q8, in the Indian market on August 22. Earlier today (August 12), the company released a teaser for the car. Audi had introduced the facelifted version of the Q8 in the global market last September.
The company will present this car with some cosmetic updates and new features, which means the facelifted model will be priced higher than the current version. Currently, the price of the Q8 ranges between ₹1.07 crore and ₹1.43 crore (ex-showroom, India).
While the Q8 does not have a direct competitor, the coupe-SUV can be considered an alternative to traditional SUVs like the Mercedes-Benz GLE and BMW X5.
Audi Q8 Facelift: Exterior
The facelifted Audi Q8 features a newly designed dual-tone trapezoidal grille, a new 2D logo, a redesigned front bumper, and updated HD matrix LED headlights at the front. It also comes with connected LED taillights and a new bumper at the rear.
The new Q8 SUV Coupe boasts a premium touch with ‘AUDI’ badging on the blacked-out B-pillar. Additionally, the SUV-Coupe offers an option of five types of newly designed 20-inch alloy wheels.
Audi Q8 Facelift: Interior Design
The interior of the new Audi Q8 e-tron closely resembles that of the previous model. The car features electrically adjustable front seats with a memory function, offering both heating and ventilation.
Inside the cabin, there are two touchscreen displays on the center console: a 10.1-inch screen for the infotainment system and an 8.6-inch screen for controlling various car functions, including the HVAC system.
The digital instrument cluster remains the same as in the previous model. Additionally, the car is equipped with a 15-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera system, 4-zone climate control, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). To enhance ride handling, the company has recalibrated and fine-tuned the chassis control system.
Audi Q8 Facelift: Engine and Transmission
The Indian version of the Audi Q8 Facelift will come with a 3.0-liter V6 turbo-petrol engine that generates 340 hp of power and 500 Nm of torque.
The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Additionally, the engine will be equipped with a 48V mild-hybrid system. The car will also offer an option for all-wheel drive.
Audi Q8 Facelift: Safety Features
The Q8 will be equipped with a range of safety features, including 8 airbags, lane departure warning, ISOFIX seat anchors, anti-theft wheel bolts, and a loose wheel warning system.
Additionally, Audi Pre-Sense Basic will be available to help prevent the car from becoming unstable in emergency braking situations.
