Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the updated Honda Shine 125 in India. The Shine 125 has been updated according to OBD2 standards, offering a mileage of 55KMPL. Additionally, the automaker is offering a special 10-year warranty package with the bike, which includes a 3-year standard warranty and an optional 7-year extended warranty.
The 2023 Honda Shine 125 is launched in two variants. The Shine 125 Drum-OBD2 variant is priced at INR 79,800 (ex-showroom Delhi), and the Shine 125 Disc-OBD2 variant is priced at INR 4,000 more (INR 83,800, ex-showroom Delhi).
At the same time, the bike has become costlier by INR 1,123 compared to its old model. This bike is available in 5 color options in the commuter motorcycle segment. These include Black, Geny Grey Metallic, Matte Axis Grey, Rebel Red Metallic, and Dazzle Blue Metallic.
The Shine 100 was launched in February 2023. The 2023 Honda Shine 125 is the third two-wheeler in the lineup to feature OBD2 specifications, following the Dio and Unicorn. The 2023 Honda Shine 125 offers enhanced performance with its updated OBD2-compliant 123.94cc 4-stroke, SI, BS-VI engine, generating 10.3 HP of power at 7500 RPM and 11Nm of torque at 6000 RPM. The engine is tuned with a 5-speed manual gearbox. It features Honda’s eSP technology, along with an engine cut-off feature when the side stand is engaged. Additionally, it incorporates Honda’s ACG silent start and friction reduction technology, providing a smooth performance.
