Vadodara Fraud: Ex-Cricketer’s Son And His Girlfriend Swindle Lakhs, Threaten Defamation Suit To Businessman

Former coach of the Indian women’s cricket team, former captain of the Baroda Ranji team, and coach at the BCA academy, Tushar Arothe, along with former cricketer Rishi Arothe, are facing an ongoing investigation into an undisclosed amount of Rs 1.39 crore. Rishi Arothe has filed a complaint of embezzlement worth Rs 29.75 lakh at the Manjalpur police station. Allegedly, when the complainant went to Rishi’s girlfriend’s house to collect money, he was accused of defaming both him and Rishi, leading to a claim of millions in damages. The Manjalpur police have initiated an investigation by registering a case against four accused.

Complaint of Embezzlement Worth Rs 29.75 Lakh

Gaurav Pramod Nadkarni, 43, residing in the Dreamland complex in Vadodara’s Manjalpur area, had been managing marketing and marketing enterprises. His wife, Anandi Jawahar Negi, was the proprietor of the company named Marketing and Marketing Enterprises. The office of this company was located near the Vishwamitri gate in 2019. In 2019, there was a meeting between Rishi Tushar Arothe. He informed me that I had taken a 1.10 lakh square foot place in South Govan and I have to work on the construction work of a restaurant, cafe, bar, and casino, and I will be responsible for all types of licensing, and my girlfriend will remain the director in this.

Discussion of Projects Worth 5 to 10 Crores

In the complaint, it was further stated that Rishi Arothe had called me for a meeting at a cafe in Alkapuri. At this time, I had a meeting with Ritika Parmar. When I met Rishi at this time, Ritika Parmar used to accompany him. Both of them discussed the cost of the project ranging from 5 to 10 crores. After that, I had meetings with different contractors with Rishi Arothe and Ritika, and Chef Sudhir Patra was also hired for this project.

Blocked from Receiving Phone Calls

After that, Rishi Arothe promised to return the money and stopped receiving calls. When I went to his house, he was not found at home. I spoke to his father Tushar Arothe on the phone. He told me that all this is being done by him. We have no relationship. After that, I went to the house of another investor with Tushar Arothe. So he told me that whatever is happening is done by him. You can do whatever you want legally.

Will File a Claim of Crores in Defamation

After that, I went to Ritika Parmar’s house and requested her to return the money. At this time, Ritika told me that coming to my house is a big mistake. I used to manage the finances for you. I know that Rishi has cheated you, in which I was also with him in Goa. If you have come to my house, then I will not give you money. You are asking me and Rishi to defame, so I will also claim millions in damages, giving threats, he pushed me out of his house.

Four Accused, Including Rishi Arothe, to Face Charges

Ritika told me, if you come here again for the second time, then you will file a complaint against you. In the whole case, the opposite police have arrested Rs 24.75 lakh from the complainant and Rs 5 lakh from other people, totaling Rs 29.75 lakh. Therefore, the complainant has filed a complaint against Ritika Parmar, Navrohi Singh, Shrinu Jha, and Rishi Arothe.
