The 2034 FIFA World Cup will be held in Saudi Arabia. Additionally, Spain, Portugal, and Morocco will jointly host the 2030 World Cup. FIFA, the global governing body of football, announced this on Wednesday night.
Saudi Arabia was the only nation to bid for hosting the 2034 World Cup. After a special meeting of FIFA’s governing body in Zurich, President Gianni Infantino officially declared Saudi Arabia as the host nation.

Following the announcement, experienced footballer Cristiano Ronaldo shared a post in which he wrote, “The most special World Cup yet, a dream come true. Portugal will host the 2030 World Cup, and we are proud of it.”
Previously, Uruguay hosted the first-ever World Cup in 1930. Now, it will host the opening match of the 2030 World Cup, along with the opening ceremony. In addition to Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay will each host one match of the 2030 World Cup.
