Rohit Sharma’s Optimism for World Cup: Confident in Team’s Ability Despite Uncertainty

Rohit has hinted that he wants to play international cricket for 3 to 4 more years. This implies that Rohit may be asking to play in the 2027 World Cup. Rohit has given this indication and said during an interview, ‘I haven’t thought about it yet. I don’t know what will happen in the future, but I am enjoying my cricketing career at the moment, so I might play a few more years. I am keen to play the World Cup for India. There is also the WTC final in Lord’s in 2025, hopefully, we will reach the final.

Rohit expressed his opinion after losing the final of the 2023 World Cup, saying, ‘When we won the semifinal, I thought, what could possibly be there that could cause us to lose this World Cup? Honestly, at that time, I didn’t feel anything. Because I believed we had performed well in all departments, I believed we would win. But then, everyone has bad days. That day happened to be ours.

As a young cricketer, I have learned a lot from them. I was only 20 years old at that time, and learning from these great players was really good.’
