Buy World Cup Tickets: Sales Start Aug 25, Semi-Final & Final Tickets on Sept 15
ODI World Cup tickets will go on sale from August 25. The tournament will be played from October 5. 41 days before the tournament, tickets for the warm-up and group stage matches of the rest of the teams, except India, will go on sale. India match tickets can be purchased at 5 different stages. While the sale of tickets for the semi-final and final matches will start from September 15.
All tickets can be purchased online. The International Cricket Council (ICC) also shared the ticket sale details only after announcing the updated World Cup schedule.
World Cup Tickets Will Be Sold in 7 Stages
- August 25 – Ticket sales for warm-up and World Cup matches of countries other than India will begin.
- August 30 – Tickets go on sale for India’s warm-up matches in Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram.
- August 31 – Tickets go on sale for India’s matches against Australia, Afghanistan and Bangladesh. The matches will be held on October 8, 11 and 19.
- September 1 – Tickets for India’s matches against New Zealand, England and Sri Lanka go on sale. The match will be played on November 2 and the matches will be played on October 22 and 29.
- September 2 – Tickets go on sale for India’s matches against South Africa and the Netherlands. This match will be held on November 5 and 12.
- September 3 – Tickets for the match between India and Pakistan will go on sale. This match will be played on October 14 in Ahmedabad.
- September 15 – Tickets for the 2 semi-finals and the final will go on sale. The semi-finals will be played on November 15 in Mumbai and on November 16 in Kolkata. The final will be played on November 19 in Ahmedabad.
Fans Can Register for Ticket Details From August 15
ICC has also started registration for fans before the ticket sales start. Fans can register by clicking here. Here they will get the World Cup ticket sale details from the notification. The ICC in its statement also said, ‘Fans can get the ticket details by first registering on the website.
Uncommon Delays in Tickets and Schedules
Never before has there been such a delay in ticket sales and schedule release in any ICC World Cup. The schedule for the World Cup to be held in India was announced on June 27, 100 days before the tournament. Which has now been rescheduled and released today i.e. 9th August. Ticket sales will also start from August 25.
The last World Cup was held in England in 2019. The sale of tickets for this tournament was started in September 2018 itself. The schedule of the tournament was also announced a year in advance.
