Recently, a podcast that went viral on social media featured Xara Jetly, a 22-year-old female cricketer from New Zealand, who revealed that she is a huge fan of Kohli. She expressed her desire to click a photo with him.
In fact, a video surfaced showing New Zealand female spinner Xara Jetly stating that she wants to take a photo with Virat Kohli to share on her Instagram handle. She also mentioned her interest in bowling against Kohli.
22-Year-Old Cricketer’s Crush is Virat Kohli
Indian batsman Virat Kohli is the favorite cricketer of New Zealand’s female cricketer Xara Jetly. The 22-year-old Jetly recently discussed Kohli in a podcast.
Playing for the Wellington Blaze in New Zealand domestic cricket, Xara expressed her dream of taking a photo with Kohli to share on her Instagram handle.
What Xara Jetly Said
In response to some questions during the podcast, Xara Jetly said, “Yes, this is very basic for me. I want to bowl… Women’s cricket is tough, but in men’s cricket, I would love to bowl to Virat Kohli.
If I could get a photo with Virat Kohli and post it on Instagram, that would be my goal.” Later, Xara also mentioned her dream in a social media post, writing, “Virat Kohli and I will definitely take a photo together for Instagram… Remember my words!”
International Debut Yet to Come
Xara Jetly has not yet made her international debut, but she has been performing exceptionally well in domestic tournaments. In the most recent Women’s Super Smash season, she played a key role in helping Wellington win the title.
In the final held at Eden Park, Auckland, The Blaze defeated Canterbury by 1 run (DLS). Over 10 matches, Xara took 9 wickets at an economy rate of 5.59. In the ODI tournament, where Wellington finished as runners-up, Xara delivered a strong performance, taking 17 wickets at an economy rate of 3.71 across 11 matches.
