‘Guajrat Titans’ Player Robin Minz’s Bike Accident: Minor Injuries to Right Knee, Joined GT in 3.60 Crore Mini Auction
Jharkhand’s wicketkeeper Batter, Robin Minz, was injured in a bike accident in Ranchi on Saturday. He suffered minor injuries to his right knee. Robin was bought by Gujarat Titans for Rs. 3.6 crore in the mini auction of IPL 2024.
He is the first indigenous player to be selected in any IPL team.
Father Confirms Accident: Robin Minz’s Condition
According to reports, Robin Minz’s father, Francis Minz, confirmed the accident, stating that Robin’s bike collided with another bike. Robin sustained minor injuries and is under the care of doctors.
Minz was riding his superbike in Ranchi when his bike collided with another bike. Subsequently, Robin lost control and fell. The front part of Robin’s bike was severely damaged. He suffered minor injuries to his right knee.
Robin Minz’s Remarkable Performance in Domestic Cricket
Robin Minz has amassed more than 1300 runs in domestic cricket and has been showcasing outstanding performances in the domestic circuit for the past 2 years. Known for his aggressive batting, Minz represents Sonnet Club in Ranchi. He has been learning cricket from former Ranji cricketers SP Gautam and Asif.
Robin Minz’s Journey in Cricket
Robin hasn’t made his debut in Ranji Trophy yet. However, in the mini auction held in December for IPL 2024, he participated in the competition among IPL teams. He was purchased by Gujarat Titans for Rs. 3.6 crore.
Mumbai Indians, Lucknow Super Giants, Delhi Capitals, and Kolkata Knight Riders had also placed bids for him. Robin has previously played for Jharkhand in the Under-19 and Under-25 categories.
Shubman Gill Meets Robin Minz’s Father at Ranchi Airport
During the break between the fourth and final Test match against England, Indian cricketer Shubman Gill met Francis Xavier Minz, the father of Robin Minz, at Ranchi Airport. Mr. Minz, a former soldier, serves in the security at Ranchi Airport. Gill is the captain of the Gujarat Titans.
Gill greeted Minz’s father and conveyed best wishes for his son’s future. Mr. Minz also congratulated Gill for India’s victory against England. Their interaction was captured in a viral video on social media platforms.
