The schedule for the second phase of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 has been announced. Following the announcement of Lok Sabha election dates, the board has released the schedule for the remaining matches.
BCCI Reveals Schedule: Second Phase Begins on April 8th
As per the schedule announced by the BCCI on Monday, the second Phase of the current season of the league will kick off from April 8th between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders. This match will be held at Chennai’s home ground, Chepauk Stadium. At this time, the qualifier-1 and eliminator matches of the season will take place at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. The final match of this season will be held on May 26th in Chennai.
First Phase Schedule Rescheduled Due to Elections
The schedule for the first Phase was pushed back by a month. The IPL organizing committee had announced the schedule for the first two weeks on February 22nd. However, the announcement of Lok Sabha elections delayed the announcement of the schedule for the remaining matches.
