Rohan Jaitley, Son of Arun Jaitley, May Become BCCI Secretary: Appointment Possible if Jay Shah Becomes ICC Chairman, Board Members Agree
Rohan Jaitley, President of the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA), is expected to be appointed as the new Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). According to sources from Source, the current BCCI Secretary, Jay Shah, will be replaced by Jaitley if Shah is elected as the ICC Chairman.
Sources from Source indicate that Jaitley’s name is leading the race for the position of BCCI Secretary, with widespread agreement on his appointment. Other officials, including President Roger Binny, will continue in their roles as their terms are set to conclude in a year.
It is almost certain that Jay Shah will be elected as the Chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC). He is expected to file his nomination by the evening of August 26. Consequently, Shah will need to step down from his position at the Indian cricket board. The current ICC Chairman, Greg Barclay, will complete his term on November 30.
