Influencer Slams Diljit Dosanjh’s Concert Ticket Prices: “Many Fans Are Unemployed”
Punjabi singer and famous actor Diljit Dosanjh is soon going to hold the ‘Dil-Luminati Tour’ in India. On Thursday, all the tickets for the singer’s concert sold out within a short time. Now, Mumbai-based comedian and social media influencer Soumya Sahni has reacted to this. Soumya said, “Diljit Dosanjh has no right to charge such a high fee from his fans. Many of his fans don’t have money or are unemployed.”
Influencer Soumya Sahni shared a video on social media on Thursday. In it, she said, “I might regret saying this later, but I have to say it. No Indian artist has the right to charge ₹20,000-₹25,000 for performances in six cities. He can play three sets because his main audience doesn’t have money, jobs, or many entertainment mediums in their native language that cater to the nation.”
Soumya further said, “It’s very strange to me that an artist whose concerts were once attended by kids and viewed by middle-class families is now charging so much. They make enough money abroad that they could ease things for the nation. Such a huge amount is required by foreign artists for setup, but ₹15,000 for a concert in this country?”
On the Work Front
Speaking of work, Diljit will soon be seen in Alia Bhatt’s upcoming film ‘Jigra.’ Alia shared a photo with Diljit Dosanjh on her Instagram account. In the caption, she wrote, “The chairs are saying it all.” Let me tell you, Alia and Diljit are teaming up after 8 years for ‘Jigra.’ They previously worked together in the 2016 film ‘Udta Punjab.’
