Priyanka Chopra to Return to Indian Cinema in SS Rajamouli’s African Jungle Adventure
Priyanka Chopra has been eagerly waiting to make a comeback in Indian cinema. Earlier, she was set to return with Farhan Akhtar’s film Jee Le Zara. However, this project has now been shelved. Meanwhile, Priyanka has signed SS Rajamouli’s upcoming Telugu film.
Adventure Film Set in African Jungles
This film will be based on an African jungle adventure, although its title is yet to be finalized. Mahesh Babu will play the role of an explorer. According to recent reports by Pinkvilla, after the success of Baahubali and RRR, SS Rajamouli is creating an epic movie. The script has been completed, and Priyanka will start shooting in April 2025. Shooting with Mahesh Babu is scheduled for 2026.
Shooting Locations Across India, USA, and Africa
Apart from India, the film will be shot in the USA and African jungles. The release is planned for 2027.
Priyanka’s Comeback with a Pan-India Film
As per reports, this Telugu film will be a pan-India project, releasing in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. For this film, SS Rajamouli was seeking an actress with global recognition. Over the past 5-6 months, he met Priyanka several times and finalized her name. To ensure the film reaches a global audience, discussions are ongoing with major studios like Disney and Sony Pictures.
Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zara Near Cancellation
In 2021, Farhan Akhtar announced Jee Le Zara, starring Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, and Katrina Kaif. However, there has been no development update so far. Reports suggest that both Katrina and Priyanka have exited the film.
