Welcome-3: Akshay and 24 Stars Embark on Jungle Adventure, Arriving Next Christmas!
On Saturday, Akshay Kumar announced his upcoming film ‘Welcome 3’ on his 56th birthday. The actor shared a video on his social media accounts, revealing the star-studded cast of 25 actors in the film. ‘Welcome 3’ is set to release on December 20th next year, just in time for Christmas.
Akshay shared a video on social media as he greeted himself and his fans, saying, ‘Today, I wish myself and all of you a happy birthday. If you liked it and will say thank you, then I’ll say, I welcome you to #WelcomeToTheJungle.’
In just two days, Akshay will make another film announcement. Previously, on September 7th, he announced ‘Mission Raniganj’.
The star cast includes Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Krishna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Dalip Mehendi, Mika Singh, Rahul Dev, Mukesh Rishi, Sharib Hashmi, Inaamul Haq, Zakir Hussain, Yashpal Sharma, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani, and Vrinda Kodevara.
In the announcement video of the film, all the actors are seen in the jungle with weapons, and they are singing songs as part of a chorus. Each person is engaged in some sort of argument or banter with one another. Finally, Disha Patani opens a grenade, which is expected to explode. This unique and intriguing scene adds an element of suspense and humor to the film’s announcement.
Anis Bazmee, who directed the previous two films in the “Welcome” series, has directed the first two movies, “Welcome” in 2007 and “Welcome Back” in 2015. Both of these films were produced by Firoz Nadiadwala.
For “Welcome 3,” the direction has been entrusted to Ahmed Khan, known for his work in “Baaghi 2” and “Baaghi 3.” This marks a change in directorship for the series, and the screenplay has been written by Farhad Samji.
