Record Advance Bookings for ‘Dream Girl-2’ Release on August 25 in Delhi-NCR & Mumbai!
Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Pandey starrer ‘Dream Girl 2’ is going to release in theaters on August 25. So far, 28,751 tickets have been booked in advance for director Raj Shandilya’s film before its release.
According to a report in ‘Pinkvilla’, around 50,000 tickets can be booked in advance at PVR, INOX and Cinepolis before the film’s release. Analyst Taran Adarsh also wrote on X (Twitter) that with these figures the film can open well.
28,751 Tickets Were Booked in Advance for the Film
The film is a sequel to the 2019 film ‘Dream Girl’. The film earned more than 200 crores at the box office. Nusrat Bharucha was in the lead role with Ayushmann Khurrana in this film.
As reported by ‘sacnilk’, the film has so far earned around Rs 85.76 lakh from advance bookings and 28,751 tickets have been booked in advance.
Taran Adarsh has shared the advance booking status of the film till August 24 at 10:30 AM.
14,150 films in PVR so far; 6,300 tickets have been booked in advance for INOX and 6,100 for Cinepolis. Thus, 26,550 tickets have been booked for the film. At the same time, the number has gone up to 27,000 due to slight increase in ticket bookings on INOX and Cinepolis, Pinkvilla reported.
Most Advance Tickets Booked From Delhi-NCR, Mumbai
‘Dream Girl 2’ is based on the theme of homosexuality. Due to this, the film is getting good response from cities like Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Chennai as compared to other cities. The film earned around 54.72 lakhs from Delhi-NCR and around 14.71 lakhs from Mumbai.
If this film becomes a hit, after 4 years, the name of a hit film will be added to the graph of Ayushmann Khurrana’s career. Earlier Ayushmann’s films – ‘Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui’ (2021), ‘Anek’ (2022), ‘Doctor G’ (2022), ‘An Action Hero’ (2022) flopped at the box office. Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Bala’ released in 2019 proved to be a hit at the box office. The film had a worldwide collection of 171.49 crores.
Ayushmann Khurrana will be seen in a double role in ‘Dream Girl 2’. The film is the story of Karam living in Mathura who is trying to pay off the debt of his father’s name. Karam falls in love with Pari but her father does not agree to their marriage. Meanwhile, Karam comes in the form of Puja.
