Pankaj Tripathi’s Father, 99, Passes; Cremated in Village
Pankaj Tripathi’s father Pandit Banaras Tiwari passed away at the age of 99. He breathed his last on Monday morning in his native village Barauli in Bihar’s Gopalganj district. His last rites will be performed on Monday in the village itself among close people.
The actor and his family have given this information by issuing an official statement. On getting the news, Pankaj has left for the village with his family.
No Interest in Pankaj’s Achievements
Pankaj has mentioned his father in many of his interviews. In a recent interview, he said that his father was not particularly interested in his achievements. He doesn’t even know what kind of films and what kind of cinema Pankaj does.
He Wanted Pankaj to Become a Doctor
Pankaj’s father wanted him to become a doctor but Pankaj chose the field of acting. His father was not displeased with this. He only wanted his son to earn decent money and be happy.
In an interview, Pankaj said that even his father did not know what Pankaj did in Mumbai. He liked to live in the village. He loved the life there and farming. He came to Mumbai only once in his life.
