‘Khichdi-2’ Film Release Date: Supriya Pathak Returns as Hansa After 13 Years!
The film ‘Khichdi 2’ will be released this year on the festival of Diwali i.e. on November 12. The filmmakers have shared this information on social media by sharing a video announcing the release date. The film is a sequel to the 2010 film ‘Khichdi: The Movie’.
The film is written-directed by Ashish Kapadia and produced by Hats of Productions.
All the characters from this popular sitcom show are seen in the date announcement video. In this video, Hansa is joking in her own style and Himanshu explains her joke that she is talking about MRI and not NRI. Farah Khan is also seen in this video.
Vandana Pathak Will Also Be in the Film
Supriya Pathak will once again be seen in the role of Hansa in this film. At the same time, Rajeev Mehta will be seen in the role of Praful and Angad Desai as Babuji. Vandana Pathak will be seen in the role of Jayashree and Keerthi Kulhari will be seen in the role of Parminder. While actor-producer Jamnadas Majethia will be seen in the role of Himanshu. Vandana was not seen in the 2010 film ‘Khichdi: The Movie.

This film will see the Parekh family once again on the big screen after almost two decades. Khichdi is the only Indian show that started as a stage play and has also been made into a film based on the show. 98 episodes of this show aired on TV for almost 2 years. The show is based on the life of a Gujarati family living in Mumbai.
Apart from this, a 38-episode show ‘Instant Khichdi’ has also been aired in 2005. 23 episode show ‘Khichdi Returns’ also came in 2018.
