Kangana Furious Over ‘Emergency’ Ban: Promises Uncut Release Despite Court

Kangana Ranaut’s film Emergency is embroiled in controversies. The film was set to release on September 6, but its release has been postponed due to protests and petitions from different parts of the country. The Censor Board has ordered the removal of controversial scenes from the film. However, according to Kangana Ranaut, she intends to release the film without any cuts. The actress stated that she will fight in court and release the uncut version because she does not want to alter the facts.

“I Will Release Only the Uncut Version” – Kangana

Kangana Ranaut recently expressed her frustration about the ban on her film during a podcast with Shubhankar Mishra. She said, “We keep making old stories about a boy and a girl romancing behind a tree. Today we are afraid of this, tomorrow we will be afraid of something else. Then people will start scaring us. We keep fearing everything. How long will we keep fearing?”

“I have made the film with complete dignity, which is why the Censor Board cannot direct anything. They have withheld my certificate, but I have decided that I will release only the uncut version of the film. I will fight in court and release it. I cannot suddenly show that Indira Gandhi died naturally in her residence. I cannot depict it like that.”

“The Government Should Take Action Against Threats” – Kangana

The actress further stated, “It all started in Maharashtra. People mistreat women, and there are no severe consequences for them. We are also hearing all kinds of abuses from Punjab. When people are given freedom, and nothing happens after mistreatment, the matter escalates from slaps to kicks, and then to burning alive. You will see how their morale increases when they are given freedom.”

“The government should take action in this regard. Such cruel people make threats openly, and that is the reality of this country.”

Regarding fears of threats, Kangana said, “I have said before that people can make your situation worse than death. This is my work. I have done it with great effort.”

“You are forcefully stopping the film’s release just four days before it is set to be released without any reason. You are causing heavy losses. I do not believe that in this country, in today’s age, in the age of social media, we are facing this.
