Superstar Amitabh Bachchan has unveiled the first look teaser for the film “Kalki 2898 AD”. In this 1-minute teaser, Amitabh can be seen portraying the role of Ashwatthama, the son of Guru Dronacharya.

In the teaser, Amitabh Bachchan engages in a conversation with a young boy, who asks him who he is. The boy, engaged in worshiping Lord Shiva, approaches Amitabh and introduces himself.
He asks, “Who are you? Are you a god? Is this temple yours?”
Amitabh responds, “Listen, my time has come. The time for my final battle has arrived.”
The boy then asks, “Who are you?”
At the end of the teaser, Amitabh reveals, “I am Ashwatthama, the son of Guru Dronacharya, wandering since the Dwapara Yuga, about to embark on my 10th incarnation.”
Amitabh Bachchan’s Youthful Transformation Thanks to De-Aging Technology
One of the most remarkable scenes in the one-minute teaser is the portrayal of a young Amitabh Bachchan, made possible through de-aging technology.
This scene makes it evident that the film will also delve into the backstory of Amitabh’s character, Ashwatthama, showcasing his youthful days.
Prabhas, Deepika, and Kamal Haasan to Join the Cast
Apart from Amitabh, the film will feature prominent actors such as Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani.
The teaser of this film was released at the San Diego Comic-Con, an event held annually in the United States.
No New Release Date Announced Yet
Despite being slated for release in multiple languages on May 9th of this year, this film has been put on hold. So far, there hasn’t been any announcement regarding its new release date.
With a budget of 600 crores, “Kalki 2898 AD” is the most expensive film of the year. It is produced by Telugu cinema’s renowned director, Nag Ashwin.
