‘Maidaan’ is a biopic of Syed Abdul Rahim.

Initially, the set for this film was constructed in Dahisar, where many sets including Olympic ground and running track were built over 9 acres. Shooting was pending for 30 to 35 days on this set. However, due to the lockdown and pandemic, shooting for the remaining parts couldn’t be completed for a long time.

The cost of building this set was 70 million rupees. The cyclone caused significant damage to the film’s set as well. This film has been directed by ‘Bhoothnath’ fame director Amit Sharma. Its producer is Boney Kapoor.

It is hoped that this film will inspire youth: Boney
