Mithun Chakraborty Hospitalized in Kolkata Due to Chest Pain: Son Reports Routine Checkup
Veteran actor and BJP leader Mithun Chakraborty was admitted to a hospital in Kolkata on Saturday. He had complained of chest pain on Saturday morning. According to sources close to the actor, he was experiencing discomfort, following which he was taken to the hospital. In an interview, Mithun’s son Mahaakshay Chakraborty stated that his father is absolutely fine. They visit the hospital regularly for check-ups. Currently, the actor’s treatment is ongoing in the hospital. Actress Madalsa Sharma, who plays the role of Kavya, Mithun Chakraborty’s daughter-in-law and Anupamaa in a TV show, stated that only her father-in-law goes to the hospital for routine check-ups, and there is no spread of any rumors.

It’s worth mentioning that a photo of Mithun Chakraborty from the hospital had gone viral in 2022 as well, which had upset his fans. Various rumors were also spread at that time. Following that, Mithun’s son Mahaakshay Chakraborty provided information about his father’s health. He had stated that his father has kidney stones and had been admitted to the hospital for the same reason.
Recently, Mithun Chakraborty was honored with the Padma Bhushan award. This renewed discussions about him. Last month, he was conferred with India’s third-highest civilian award, the Padma Bhushan. The names of singer Usha Uthup and the late actor Vijayakanth were also included.
Mithun Chakraborty, aged 73, has worked in many remarkable films. The actor has also appeared as a judge on several television shows. He was last seen in Vivek Agnihotri’s film ‘The Kashmir Files’.
