Jasleen Files Copyright Case Against Guru Randhawa; He Denies Connection & Removes Song

Singer Jasleen Royal has filed a case in the Bombay High Court accusing T-Series, lyricist Raj Ranjodh, and singer Guru Randhawa of using her song without permission. The case pertains to the song ‘All Right’ from the album ‘G Thing.’ Jasleen claims that the song was released without her consent and that her original music was used in it.

Guru Randhawa’s Response

In an exclusive interview with Dainik Bhaskar, Guru Randhawa stated, “Jasleen’s case is actually against our brother Raj Ranjodh, who gave me a song that he had already done with Jasleen. Typically, I write and compose songs myself, but I liked this song, which is why I took it from him.”

Clarifications on the Dispute

Guru further mentioned that the song was released without any financial gain and was removed. He praised Jasleen as a talented artist and clarified that the credit for writing and composing the song goes solely to Raj Ranjodh. He added, “When we released the song, I realized Raj Bhai should have included Jasleen in the song or asked her. Once I learned that it was related to Jasleen, we removed the song from online platforms. It was taken down within two days. I haven’t earned anything from it. Jasleen can still release the song. Jasleen is a very good artist. I like her work a lot. I just want to say that there should be no misunderstanding about me, as Raj wrote and composed the song himself.”

The Full Story

According to Jasleen Royal, she composed some original music for a promotional event for Ajay Devgn’s film ‘Runway 34’ in 2022. She shared this music with lyricist Raj Ranjodh via audio-video call and message. Later, a song featuring Guru Randhawa’s voice and produced by T-Series was released from the same composition. This led to T-Series, Raj Ranjodh, and Guru Randhawa becoming involved in the controversy.

Jasleen mentioned that in December 2023, she discovered that T-Series had released a song titled ‘All Right,’ featuring Guru Randhawa’s voice and written by Raj Ranjodh. Jasleen claims that the music of this song is the same as what she had shared with Raj and hoped to receive credit for, but that did not happen.
