Gunfire Near Salman Khan’s Residence: Forensic Team Investigates as Two Motorcyclists Open Fire

On Sunday morning at 5 am, there was firing outside Salman Khan’s house. Two bikers fired four rounds outside Salman’s Galaxy apartment in Bandra. Following this incident, security at the house has been increased. The Mumbai Police Crime Branch has also been deployed to investigate. At the time of the firing, Salman was at his home. Khan had received threats to his life from the Lawrence Bishnoi-Goldy gang.

Upon learning of the incident, the Mumbai Police, Crime Branch, and forensic experts’ team had reached the scene of the incident. Security has also been increased outside Salman’s house. Close-circuit television (CCTV) footage is being examined to identify the assailants, and people in the vicinity are also being questioned.

Salman Khan had received a threatening letter in 2023.

After receiving threats from Lawrence Bishnoi, Salman Khan’s security was increased. He has been provided with Y+ category security by the Maharashtra government. In June 2022, Salman and his father Salim Khan had received a threatening letter, which mentioned that Salman might meet the same fate as Siddharth Shukla.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) stated that in the threat to kill by gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, Salman was also on the list of 10 people. The Bishnoi gang is angry over the incident of the black deer hunting in 1998, and Lawrence had threatened him during a TV interview.

After the threat, Salman was provided with Y+ category security, comprising 11 personnel.

Earlier, Maharashtra Police personnel used to accompany Salman, but after the threats, he was provided with Y+ category security. This security detail includes 11 personnel who remain with Salman throughout the day, including one or two commandos and two PSOs. Two vehicles always precede and follow Salman’s vehicle. Additionally, Salman’s car is completely bulletproof.

Shiv Sena spokesperson Anand Dubey stated that the incident of firing outside Salman Khan’s house is unfortunate, and it reflects the weakness of law and order. The government should take cognizance of this incident. The perpetrators must be brought to justice, and safety should be ensured.

Salman received threatening letters before as well.

In June 2022, when Salman’s father Salim Khan was leaving for the morning walk, he found an anonymous letter threatening him and Salman. The letter stated, “Salman Khan, your condition will be like that of Sushil Mehsana.” Subsequently, Salim Khan contacted the police through his security personnel, and a case was registered at the Bandra police station regarding the incident.

Last year, the Mumbai Police received a phone call threatening to kill Salman. The person making the threat was a 16-year-old boy. He threatened Salman Khan over the phone and revealed his name as well as his intention to kill Salman on April 30.

Similarly, last year, an unknown person from Jodhpur had sent three emails to Salman Khan’s official email address. It was mentioned in the emails that Salman Khan is your next target, and he will meet the same fate as Siddhu Moosewala if he comes to Jodhpur.

In January 2024, two unknown individuals attempted to break into Salman Khan’s farmhouse by cutting the fencing wire. Both were apprehended by the police, and it was revealed that both claimed to be Salman’s fans. Fake Aadhar cards were found on them. Consequently, FIRs have been registered against both. Salman Khan is on the hit list of the Lawrence gang.
