In a desperate move, Divyanka Tripathi wrote to Italian Prime Minister Meloni, requesting help.

Divyanka Tripathi further wrote that their embassy is assisting them, but emphasized that Italy should take responsibility for the safety of tourists like them. She highlighted that the issue is not just about them, but about all people who save money and spend it to visit Italy.

The Full Incident

Actress Divyanka Tripathi and her husband, Vivek Dahiya, traveled to Florence, Italy. They rented a car to find a hotel and resort to stay in. When they went to book a resort, they returned to find that their car’s window had been smashed and all their belongings had been stolen. This included their money and passports, as well as all the items they had purchased the previous day.

The couple filed a complaint, but the local police refused to help, stating that there were no CCTV cameras in the area where the theft occurred.

Losing their passports and money in Florence has left the couple in a difficult situation. The resort staff where their belongings were stolen has helped them with accommodations, but they are facing hardships due to the lack of money. The couple has requested temporary passports from the Indian embassy to help them return to India.

Vivek Dahiya shared their ordeal on social media, stating that their car was in the resort’s secure campus when they were robbed. He asked people not to blame them for how they kept their belongings, as the resort staff knew their items were in the car but were indifferent to the theft. “This can happen to anyone, but I hope it doesn’t happen to anyone else,” he added.
