Amitabh Bachchan Starts ‘KBC-16’ Shooting: New Set, 100 Episodes, Premieres Aug 12

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has started shooting for the 16th season of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati.’ Recently, Big B shared some photos from the show’s set on his blog.

In the photos, Big B is seen greeting the audience on set with folded hands. Reflecting on the first day of shooting, he wrote on his blog, “The first day of the 16th season of KBC… and the thrill of changes, fear, and tension, along with the audience’s reactions, made my heart race. My heart was pounding fast… the day ended, and sleep vanished… It’s been a while… and now I am thinking of going to bed early because the rhythm of time suggests so.”

Discussing his interactions with the contestants, Bachchan added, “The contestants are very smart and well-informed, and our job is to ensure they have a good evening.” He humorously mentioned how he was caught in Mumbai’s traffic due to rain and joked that he nearly had to swim to get home, but finally breathed a sigh of relief once he arrived safely.

A few days ago, Megastar did a mock shoot. Two days ago (July 24), Big B filmed the first episode of this season. The team has maintained the format of the show, with no major changes in the campaign, concept, or prize money.

In this season, Amitabh Bachchan is shooting for ‘KBC’ on a new set at Film City. The set he had been using for the past 6 years (Studio No. 7) has been booked by another production house this year. As a result, the producers had to shift to a new set.

According to the initial plan, 100 episodes will be shot for this season. The first episode of this season will be broadcast on August 12.
