PM Narendra Modi on Friday, at the India Mobile Congress 2023 event, reminisced about a time 10-12 years ago when the screens of old mobile phones used to crack if you swiped them, and yet, it didn’t have much impact. The economy of India was also in a similar state at that time. The situation was so bleak that there seemed to be no point in starting it all over again. People changed that in 2014. This transformation shows what happened. Back then, we used to be importers of mobile phones; today, we are exporters.
PM Modi Initiates India Mobile Congress: Information on 6G Technology
The India Mobile Congress 2023 event started today at the Pragati Maidan in Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated this three-day event at 9:45 in the morning. Companies like Jio, Airtel, and Ericsson showcased their new technologies here. Jio Infocomm’s Chairman, Akash Ambani, Airtel’s Chairman, Sunil Bharti Mittal, and Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman of the Aditya Birla Group, were present on the first day of the event. This year’s IMC is the seventh edition, featuring participation from almost 1 lakh people from 22 countries. It includes 5,000 CEOs and 400 startups.
Ericsson Discusses 6G Technology, Provides Information on Technology
PM Modi had a meeting with Ericsson in the 6G zone. Here, Ericsson India’s MD, Nitin Bansal, provided information on this technology. AI-based technology for smart city development and citizen services was also showcased at the Pragati Maidan. PM Modi received information about this as well.
Air Fiber, Information on Jio Bharat Device at the Event
In the Pragati Maidan, the first stall was of Jio Infocomm. The company’s Chairman, Akash Ambani, provided information to PM Modi about Jio Air Fiber and other technologies. The Jio Bharat Device was also showcased here, which PM Modi appreciated.
Focus on 6G Technology and Drone Manufacturing at the Event
The India Mobile Congress will focus on 5G expansion, 6G preparations, deployment, drone device manufacturing, semiconductor production, and cutting-edge technology. Furthermore, the use of AI in India is expected to be a significant theme at the event. During the program, PM Modi will also release 100 ‘5G Use Cases Labs’ to educational institutions across the country. The theme of this year’s event is ‘Global Digital Innovation.’ The event also marked the launch of the Aspire Program by INC, which will help empower young entrepreneurs in the telecom and digital domains.

Delegate Pass Prices – INR 15,000 for All Days
To attend this event taking place from October 27 to 29, a delegate pass is priced at INR 15,000 for all days. A Delegate One Day Pass is available for INR 5,000. Complimentary passes are available for dignitaries, colleges, government, and media.

Event According to the India Mobile Congress website, IMC is Asia’s largest telecommunications, media, and technology forum. It is jointly organized by the Department of Telecommunications (DOT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI). Beyond being Asia’s largest technology event, IMC is also India’s largest networking event in the technology sector.
