Team India Eyes Tournament Victory After 5 Years, Overcame 4 Final Losses in Decade
The Indian cricket team has been on a five-year winning streak, achieving remarkable success in various cricket tournaments. Today, in Colombo, they will face Sri Lanka in the final of the 16th Asia Cup. The Indian team last won a major trophy in 2018 when they triumphed in the Asia Cup held in the UAE.
During this period, India has participated in five International Cricket Council (ICC) events and one Asian Cricket Council (ACC) event, but they haven’t secured a championship in any of these prestigious tournaments. These mega events organized by the ICC and ACC are considered significant in the world of cricket.

The first WTC final took place in Southampton in 2021, where India lost to New Zealand by 8 wickets.
