Hero MotoCorp has launched a new single-seat variant of its premium commuter motorcycle, the Hero Xtreme 125R, in the Indian market. Priced at ₹1,00,100 (ex-showroom), the new variant shares the same price tag as the split-seat ABS variant and continues to offer impressive performance and features in the 125cc segment.

Competes with Honda Shine, SP125, and TVS Raider

The Xtreme 125R competes with other popular models in the segment such as the Honda Shine 125, Honda SP125, and TVS Raider. Despite the change in the seat configuration, Hero has not made any other mechanical or design changes to the motorcycle.

  • Firestorm Red

  • A 130mm rear drum brake is standard across all variants

Other dimensions include a seat height of 794mm, ground clearance of 180mm, and kerb weight of 136kg.

Engine and Performance

Powering the Xtreme 125R is a 124.7cc, air-cooled, 4-stroke, single-cylinder engine that produces:

  • 11.39PS at 8,250RPM
  • 10.5Nm torque at 6,000RPM

Mated to a 5-speed gearbox with a wet multi-plate clutch, the bike is capable of accelerating from 0 to 60kmph in just 5.9 seconds. Hero claims the motorcycle delivers a best-in-class mileage of 66kmpl (ARAI-certified).
