Fire Erupts Due to Short Circuit in Textile Company

Surat, Gujarat – A devastating fire broke out in the Hojiwala area of Surat, causing extensive damage to a textile and plastic company. According to reports, the fire started due to a blast in a DGVCL distribution panel (DP), which led to a short circuit in a textile company’s machinery. The flames soon spread to an adjacent plastic company, escalating the severity of the incident.

Firefighters Rush to the Scene

Following the fire, authorities were alerted, and multiple fire engines from the Hojiwala fire department were dispatched to control the situation. More than five fire trucks were deployed to douse the flames and prevent further damage.

Massive Damage to Textile and Plastic Companies

The incident occurred at Parth Plastic and Platinum International Textile Company, located on Road No. 17 in Hojiwala. The fire, which started in the textile company, quickly engulfed the nearby plastic company, causing significant destruction.

No Casualties, But Heavy Financial Losses

Fortunately, since the incident happened during the festive season, no employees were present, preventing any casualties. However, company owners have stated that the fire caused severe damage to goods and materials worth crores.
