Wave Eva: India’s First Solar-Powered Electric Car Unveiled

Wave Mobility, an electric vehicle start-up, has launched India’s first solar-powered electric car, the Wave Eva, at the India Mobility Global Expo 2025. The company claims that the car offers a range of 250 km on a full charge.
Fast and Flexible Charging Options
The car’s battery can be fully charged in 5 hours using a home charger or in just 20 minutes with a DC fast charger. Additionally, solar panels on the car’s roof provide an extra 10 km of range daily.
Compact Design with Quick Acceleration
Wave Eva is a compact quadricycle-like vehicle, seating two adults and a child. It can accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in just 5 seconds. Competing with MG’s Comet EV, the Wave Eva was first showcased as a concept at Auto Expo 2023.

Pricing and Variants
Wave Eva is available in three variants: Nova, Stella, and Vega. The base variant Nova starts at ₹3.25 lakh (ex-showroom) with a battery subscription plan. Customers can also purchase the EV without a subscription for ₹3.99 lakh.
Introductory Prices for First 25,000 Customers
These prices are valid for the first 25,000 customers, with deliveries beginning in 2026. The car features flexible solar panels, enabling an additional daily range of 10 km.
