Maternal Uncle Kidnaps Nephew to Pay ₹30 Lakh to Lover: Boy Dumped in Bush, Police Find Him After Mobile is Discovered by Young Man

A seven-year-old boy who went missing after attending a wedding ceremony in Bhilad, near Vapi, led his family to file a kidnapping complaint with the police. The boy was found unconscious after 39 hours near the CETP plant, close to the Daman Ganga River in Vapi, hidden in a tree bush. 

Police investigations revealed that the boy’s maternal uncle, living in Mumbai, had arranged for the kidnapping by offering his lover ₹30 lakh and an additional ₹10 lakh to two other individuals. The police were able to locate the boy after discovering his mobile phone with a young man who was sorting garbage.

Accused Planned the Kidnapping in Advance

A businessman from Vapi, residing in Saudi Arabia for the past seven years, recently visited his hometown with his wife and seven-year-old son to attend a wedding ceremony in Bhilad on December 23. 

This information reached Shahbaz Khan, also known as Sonu Farukh Khan, who lives in Mumbai. Shahbaz Khan, along with his friends Umer (also known as Muno Juber Khan) and Mohammad Umer (also known as Saud Firoz Salim Kazi), planned to kidnap the seven-year-old boy. They had attended the wedding ceremony in Bhilad while executing their plan.

On the final day of the wedding ceremony, on December 23, the seven-year-old boy was playing alone in the wedding hall when three men, including his maternal uncle, kidnapped him. They took the boy in a car, heading towards Vapi. 

During the journey, they attempted to knock him unconscious by strangling him, which led to the boy losing consciousness. Believing the boy had died, the accused dumped him in a bush near the CETP plant close to NH-48 in Vapi. They also discarded the boy’s mobile phone in an open area nearby.

Police Locate the Boy After Finding His Mobile with a Young Man

Meanwhile, the family had filed a kidnapping complaint, and the police were searching for the boy. On December 25, a young man collecting garbage near the CETP plant found the boy’s mobile phone. 

Upon learning this, the Valsad police team quickly arrived at the location, cordoned off the area around the phone, and launched a search operation. After 39 hours of the kidnapping, the boy was found unconscious in the area.

After transferring the boy to the hospital for treatment, the police launched a manhunt to apprehend the accused. By tracing the individuals who attended the wedding, the police discovered that three of the accused were present both at the wedding venue and the location where the boy was found. As a result, two of the accused were arrested in Mumbai. 

The main accused was still at large, but after receiving information that he was in Agra, the police, with assistance from the Agra police, successfully captured him. The investigation revealed that the primary accused, Shahbaz, was the boy’s maternal uncle, who had arranged the kidnapping by offering ₹30 lakh to his lover.
