Musk Filed a Lawsuit Against OpenAI
Elon Musk co-founded OpenAI with Sam Altman in 2015 as an AI research company offering services like ChatGPT. However, Musk resigned from the company’s board in 2018.

Shift to Profit Focus Led to Breach of Agreement, Musk Claimed
According to the lawsuit filed on behalf of Elon Musk, Sam Altman and OpenAI co-founder Greg Brockman had initially approached Musk with the idea of creating an open-source, non-profit organization dedicated to developing artificial intelligence technology for the benefit of humanity.
However, Musk’s legal team alleged that OpenAI’s later shift toward profit-driven goals violated the original agreement. This breach of contract became a key point in Musk’s legal claims against the company.
