Innocent Child Hit by Car While Chasing Kite, CCTV Shows: Thrown onto Bonnet, Dragged 40 Feet on the Road; Child Suffers Serious Head Injury
A tragic incident occurred in Sikar, Rajasthan, where a 7-year-old boy was hit by a car while attempting to grab a kite. The collision caused the child to be thrown onto the car’s bonnet and later fall onto the road, where he was dragged for about 40 feet. The boy suffered severe head injuries as a result of the accident.
The incident took place on the evening of December 6 in the Losal police station area of Sikar. CCTV footage of the accident has surfaced. The injured child is currently undergoing treatment at SMS Hospital in Jaipur.
Police Statement
The police have reported that no formal complaint has been filed in this matter. The injured boy, identified as Shivam Bakolia (7), is the son of Ghasiram, a resident of Ward No. 10. The police have assured that action will be taken once a complaint is lodged.
Accident Occurred 500 Meters Away from Home
Shivam’s uncle, Shravan Kumar, shared details about the incident. He mentioned that after returning from school, Shivam went out to fly kites with his friends.
While chasing a cut kite, he ran about 500 meters away from home onto the road. He was looking up at the sky as he ran, which led to the collision with the car.
Child’s Father Missing for Two Years
Shivam’s uncle, Shravan Kumar, mentioned that after receiving information from local residents, family members arrived at the scene and took him to SK Hospital in Sikar. From there, on December 7, he was referred to SMS Hospital in Jaipur. Shivam has suffered serious head injuries, which have caused him difficulty in speaking.
Shivam is a third-grade student and has one elder and one younger brother. His father, Ghasiram, has been missing for nearly two years.
