Honda Amaze: The Most Affordable ADAS-Equipped Car in India

Honda claims the new Amaze is the most affordable car in India with Advanced Driving Assist System (ADAS) features. The 2024 Honda Amaze will compete with other sub-4-meter sedans like the Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Aura, and Tata Tigor. Test drives have begun, and deliveries are scheduled for January 2025.

Exterior Design: All-LED Headlights and 15-Inch Multi-Spoke Alloy Wheels

The new Amaze features a large, upright grille flanked by twin-pod projector headlights. Below, it sports a clean bumper with projector fog lamps. The side profile resembles the current model but adds newly designed 15-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels with 185-section tires. The rear design is similar to the Honda City, with matching tail lamps, boot lid, and bumper.

Additional exterior highlights include LED headlights, Z-shaped LED tail lamps, a shark-fin antenna, and a chrome strip above the grille. The new Amaze was designed at Honda R&D Asia Pacific Center in Thailand and is available in six color options, including the new Obsidian Blue.

Interior: 10.25-Inch Free-Standing Infotainment System

The interior of the new Amaze resembles that of the Honda Elevate, featuring a black-and-beige theme. The dashboard includes a digital instrument cluster, a three-spoke steering wheel, and a 10.25-inch free-standing infotainment system. All seats are upholstered in beige leather with adjustable headrests and three-point seat belts.

Key features include a semi-digital driver display, rear AC vents, auto AC, wireless phone charger, and paddle shifters (automatic variants only). Additional conveniences are automatic climate control, a six-speaker sound system, 460-liter boot space, remote start with AC control, and connected car technology via Honda Connect.

Safety Features: Standard 6 Airbags with ADAS

The new Amaze comes with six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), and a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) as standard. ADAS features include lane-keep assist, forward collision warning, and a lane-watch camera.

Performance: CVT Transmission with 19.46 kmpl Mileage

There are no mechanical changes in the new Amaze. It is powered by a 1.2-liter, 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates 90 hp and 110 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic.

Honda claims a mileage of 19.46 kmpl with the CVT transmission and 18.65 kmpl with the 5-speed manual. The car comes with a standard 3-year/unlimited kilometers warranty, extendable up to 7 years with unlimited kilometers.
