Photos of the Third-Generation Honda Amaze Leaked: Updated Sedan’s Offline Bookings Begin, Launching on December 4 with Advanced Features
Honda Cars India is preparing to launch the third-generation model of its popular sedan, the Amaze. Even before its official launch, the 2024 Honda Amaze was spotted during testing without any cover. During this time, photos and videos showcasing the exterior and interior design of the new-generation Amaze went viral on social media.
Earlier, the company had released design sketches. The car will be launched with a new front look and advanced safety features. The new-generation Honda Amaze is set to launch in India on December 4. Its price may start at ₹7.50 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with the new-generation Maruti Dzire, Tata Tigor, and Hyundai Aura.
Sleek LED Headlights Like the Honda Elevate
According to the sketches released by Honda, the upcoming Honda Amaze’s design is inspired by the new Honda City and the international model Honda Accord. The front features sharp styling lines and a hexagonal grille.
On both sides, the car sports attractive LED headlights with integrated LED DRLs, resembling those of the Honda Elevate SUV. The fog lamps are positioned in their usual spots. Additionally, it is expected to feature multi-spoke alloy wheels, sleek LED taillights, and a high bumper similar to the Honda City.
Standard 6 Airbags and Advanced ADAS Safety System
The new-generation Honda Amaze will feature a redesigned dashboard layout and a new cabin theme inspired by the City sedan and Elevate SUV. The cabin includes a black-and-beige color scheme with a 3-spoke steering wheel. The dashboard is highlighted by patterned trim inserts and a free-standing touchscreen.
The Amaze may also offer new features like a wireless phone charger and a single-pane sunroof. For safety, it will come with 6 standard airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), and a rear-view camera.
Performance: Delivers 18.6 kmpl Mileage
The Honda Amaze will have minimal mechanical changes. It currently features a 1.2-liter i-VTEC naturally aspirated petrol engine, generating 87.7 hp power and 110 Nm torque.
For transmission, this engine is paired with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a CVT option. The new Amaze will be available only with a petrol engine, as Honda has discontinued its diesel engine production. The company claims that the car delivers a mileage of 18.6 kmpl.
