Explosion in Delhi’s Prashant Vihar, One Injured: Forensic-NSG Team Arrives; White Powder-like Substance Found at the Scene
A blast occurred at 11:48 AM on Thursday near the PVR Multiplex in the Prashant Vihar area of Rohini, Delhi. One person was injured in the incident.
National Security Guard (NSG) and forensic teams have arrived at the site to investigate. Additionally, officers from the Bomb Disposal Squad have also reached the location. The causes of the blast are under investigation.
According to the Fire Service, they received a call regarding the explosion, following which four fire brigade vehicles arrived at the scene. The blast took place near the boundary wall of the park. It is being reported that a white powder-like substance was found scattered at the location.
This is the second such incident in Prashant Vihar. A similar explosion occurred on October 20 near the CRPF Public School.
Atishi Criticizes BJP Over Law and Order Failure in Delhi
Delhi’s Chief Minister Atishi has criticized the failure of law and order in the capital, pointing out that this is the second blast in two months. She stated, “The responsibility for law and order in Delhi lies solely with the BJP and Home Minister Amit Shah, but they have completely failed in this regard.”
Atishi also alleged that reports of extortion calls were being received from areas surrounding the Home Minister’s residence.
Blast Near CRPF School in Delhi’s Prashant Vihar on October 20
A blast occurred on October 20 at around 7:30 AM near the CRPF School in Prashant Vihar, Sector 14, Rohini, Delhi. Fortunately, no one was injured, but several shops and cars near the school wall were damaged.
According to sources from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), initial investigations revealed materials resembling a crude bomb. The Ministry of Home Affairs has asked Delhi Police for a report on the matter.
The following day, on October 21, Delhi Police reported that explosives were found in a plastic bag near the school wall. The bag had been hidden in a 1-foot-deep pit and covered with debris to keep it concealed.
In addition, Delhi Police reviewed nearby CCTV footage. One day prior, they spotted an individual wearing a white T-shirt near the wall, though no arrests have been made yet.
Khalistani Group Claims Responsibility for Delhi School Blast
A Khalistani organization claimed responsibility for the Delhi school blast. The message appeared on the Justice League India group on Telegram, where the group stated that they were capable of carrying out attacks at any time. Delhi Police has requested information from Telegram regarding this message.
