Murder of MICA College Student in Bopal, Ahmedabad: Car Driver Stabs UP Resident After Speed Argument

A murder incident has come to light in the Bopal area of Ahmedabad. A student named Priyanshu Jain, studying at MICA College, had an altercation with a car driver near the Bopal Fire Station. The driver, in a fit of anger, attacked the student with a pellet gun. 

The injured student was rushed to the hospital for treatment, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. After the attack, the car driver fled the scene. A complaint has been lodged at the Bopal police station regarding the incident.

Student from Uttar Pradesh Killed After Altercation with Car Driver

Priyanshu Jain, a 23-year-old student from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, was riding his Bullet motorcycle with a friend late at night when an altercation occurred with a car driver near the Fire Station. 

Priyanshu, originally from Uttar Pradesh, was involved in a heated argument with the driver. The police and friends of the deceased have also arrived at the scene. The FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) team has collected samples from the site for further investigation.

Friends of the student also reached the spot.

Hostel Mate Files Police Complaint in Murder Case

Prithviraj Mahapatra, a resident of Ashoka Hostel in Shela village on the outskirts of Ahmedabad, has filed a murder complaint at the Bopal police station against an unknown person. Prithviraj, originally from Odisha, is a second-year student at MICA in Ahmedabad. 

Along with him, his friend Priyanshu Jain, who also studied at the college, was involved in the incident. The previous evening, Prithviraj and Priyanshu had an interview at the college campus and later went to Bopal to get a suit stitched at Maruti Tailors, using their friend Chaitanya’s Bullet motorcycle.

Police investigated the scene.

Car Driver Confronts Priyanshu After Argument Over Speeding

After giving their measurements for the suit, Prithviraj and Priyanshu went to have breakfast at a place near the Bopal area. After having breakfast, the two were on their way back to college. When they reached Sun South Street Complex, Priyanshu wanted to buy a sweet, so they stopped their Bullet motorcycle near a bakery and went inside to buy a cake. 

After purchasing the cake, they were heading back to their room when a car drove past them at high speed. Priyanshu, irritated by the speed, told the driver, “Why are you driving so fast?” The car driver, in response, followed them and shouted, “Stop! What did you say?”

Confrontation Escalates as Car Driver Threatens Priyanshu

Prithviraj had stopped their Bullet motorcycle, and the car driver also stopped his vehicle. The driver then approached Prithviraj and said, “You guys are on the wrong side; I won’t drive fast.” After hearing this, Priyanshu and Prithviraj became agitated. 

The driver then pushed Priyanshu, and a fight broke out between them. The car driver threatened Priyanshu, saying, “Stop! I will show you,” and then walked towards his car. He returned with two knives in his hands, further escalating the confrontation.

Car Driver Stabs Priyanshu, Leading to His Death

The car driver then attacked Priyanshu, stabbing him multiple times. Priyanshu was rushed to the hospital for treatment, but the doctors declared him dead upon arrival. Meanwhile, the car driver fled the scene after the attack. Upon receiving news of the incident, the Bopal police rushed to the location. 

The police have filed a murder case against the unknown car driver and have initiated an investigation. A team, including the SP, reached the scene early in the morning to further examine the situation.

Woman Rushes Priyanshu to Hospital After Stabbing Incident

When the car driver attacked Priyanshu, a woman passing by in her car saw the injured student. Before the ambulance could arrive, she quickly helped Priyanshu into her car and rushed him to Bopal hospital for treatment. 

After admitting him to the hospital, the woman left. However, due to Priyanshu’s critical condition, he was transferred to Zydus Hospital via an ambulance. Unfortunately, the doctors at Zydus declared him dead.
