Clarification from RDEPL Regarding Fraud Allegations
The company further stated that they wish to clarify that RDEPL and its directors (Remo and Lizelle) have no dealings related to the alleged fraud of ₹11.96 crores. These allegations are primarily directed at Omprakash Chauhan, who is the co-founder of the same dance group (V Unbeatable).
He has filed a petition in the High Court seeking appropriate directions to file a case against group manager Mahesh and others. This matter is currently pending in the High Court.
Remo D’Souza Addresses Allegations at Press Conference
In a press conference, Remo D’Souza stated, “I never imagined I would meet you all in this manner, even in my dreams. However, we need to clarify something. What you have heard is one-sided. Lizelle and I have no dealings related to the accusations circulating on social media.”
Complaint Filed at Mira Road Police Station
A 26-year-old victim dancer filed her complaint at the Mira Road police station in Mumbai on October 16. According to the complaint, the dancer and her group were allegedly defrauded between 2018 and July 2024.
The group had won a reality show competition. The complainant claims that Remo and the other accused concocted a story claiming that the group belonged to them and embezzled the prize money of ₹11.96 crores that they had won.
In this case, the police have registered a complaint against Remo D’Souza, his wife Lizelle D’Souza, Omprakash Shankar Chauhan, Rohit Jadhav, Frame Production Company, Vinod Raut, Ramesh Gupta, and one other individual. The investigation into the case is ongoing.
